2014 Golden Globes Predictions: Who Should Win and Who Will Win

If we know one thing about celebs, it's that people love to throw trophies at them. Ah, the entertainment industry. It's truly a magical place.
It's almost time for the 2014 Golden Globes and once again, we're doing all the work for you by picking the people who should win in the movie categories and the people who will win. Obviously, those two aren't always the same.
Here are our predictions for the big movie categories for the Globes, also known as everybody drinks and if Tommy Lee Jones is there he'll probably glare at Tina Fey and Amy Poehler the whole time:

Best Motion Picture, Drama
Should Win: 12 Years a SlaveWill Win: Gravity12 Years a Slave is being showered with nominations for acting, but we're giving this one to Gravity for the mere fact that it was so pretty to watch. In the biz, "so pretty" means an outstanding achievement in cinematography. Plus: Sandra Bullock.
Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy
Should Win: American Hustle
Will Win:
American Hustle Everyone is buzzing about it, and the HFPA loves Jennifer Lawrence and pretty much everyone else in this film.
Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama
Should Win: Chiwetel Ejiofor, 12 Years a SlaveWill Win: Chiwetel Ejiofor, 12 Years a SlaveIt's his to lose. Sorry, Tom Hanks. You are still a national treasure.

Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical
Should Win: Leonardo DiCaprio, The Wolf of Wall StreetWill Win: Christian BaleAmerican HustleLeo might as well be called Snubby McNeverGetsAnyAwardsLove, and we have a bad feeling he'll be overlooked again.
Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama
Should Win: Sandra Bullock, GravityWill Win: Sandra Bullock, Gravity
She's everybody's favorite actress, but she's also hella talented so this one is all hers. Did a day go by since Gravity came out where people weren't talking about Sandy's performance? Nope.
Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy
Should Win: Amy AdamsAmerican Hustle
Will Win: Meryl Streep
August: Osage CountyHonestly, Meryl could not appear in any film or piece of work for an entire year and she would still get nominated come awards season. "Meryl was seen walking down the sidewalk, and it was the greatest work in the history of cinema. Back up the trophy truck." She'll win, and we're OK with it. Especially since Jennifer Lawrence isn't in this category to snatch it from her again.

Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture
Should Win: Jared LetoDallas Buyers ClubWill Win: Jared Leto, Dallas Buyers ClubThere is way too much buzz surrounding his performance for the HFPA to ignore.
Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture
Should Win: Lupita Nyong'o12 Years a SlaveWill Win: Jennifer Lawrence, American HustleNothing can stop the J.Law train, not even the moving performence by Nyong'o.
