Shakira and Rihanna's collaboration is pretty catchy--and unforgettable, indeed! "Can't Remember to Forget You" premiered on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show Monday, Jan.
13, and the ladies' voices complement each other quite well on the oh-so-relatable track.
The song's lyrics describe a woman who will "follow, follow, follow" her man because "she can't
remember to forget you." And, she addresses him singing that she "keep(s) forgetting I should let
you go/ But when you look at me/ The only memory is us kissing in the moonlight." Ah, romance. Rihanna has a verse about "repeat
(ing) yesterday's mistakes" but what she's "trying to say is not to forget/ You see only the good, selective memory."
Huh. Well, it seems that both Shakira and Rihanna
will have all good memories of recording "Can't Remember to Forget You" together. In fact, as the
Voice coach described it to Glamour magazine's February issue, working with Rihanna "was utopia." "She's the sexiest woman on the planet," Shakira, born in Colombia, gushed of the Barbados-born beauty. "And at the end of the day, we're both just
basically Caribbean girls. The chemistry was so good and so real. She taught me dance moves.
She was a sweet teacher."
Now we just have to wait to see those moves in the music video!
