Barcelona welcomed the return of Neymar for part
of group training on Monday, sparking the
suggestion that he might be back in action next
weekend, against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
Having already returned to individual training last
week, following the sprained ankle injury suffered in
the Copa del Rey against Getafe, in Monday
morning's training session, Neymar spent some of
his time training back with the rest of his team-
mates.
Though the hopes have always been that Neymar
would return to action against Manchester City in
the Champions League, on 18th February at the
Etihad for the first-leg of that tie, it is thought that
manager Tata Martino may be willing to give him
some minutes in the match against Rayo Vallecano this weekend, in La Liga.
Good news indeed for Barcelona, who will certainly
be keen to see their ranks back to full strength,
ahead of what promises to be a mouth watering
encounter against Manchester City in the Champions
League.
Meanwhile, captain Carles Puyol was also engaged in
specific fitness work, after having to pull out of the
game at Sevilla over the weekend, having suffered
from lower back problems.
