The elaborate Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony in Sochi poked fun at the now infamous snowflake malfunction that occurred during the Opening Ceremony on Feb.7.
A group of dancers, clad in silver sequined sparkly attire, created various intricate shapes during a choreographed routine at Fisht Olympic Stadium on Sunday.
As the performers merged together to form the iconic Olympic rings, a cluster stayed closed and would not create that pesky fifth ring. Just like that one poor snowflake, suspended in the air, that failed to open up to form the giant rings.

Eventually, the fifth ring did open up (yay!) and the dancers
created the symbol of the games beautifully. A brilliant nod to the
well-known snafu, if we do say so ourselves.
