An extensive interview On Chelsea TV today.
Drogba discusses the work his foundation is doing in
post-war Ivory Coast and how much of an inspiration
the former South African president Nelson Mandela
was to him and his country.
In a clip of the interview that can be viewed above
(subject to registration), Drogba also explains why he
and his family still call Cobham home despite the fact
since leaving Chelsea he has played in China and
Turkey. It is clear his children have had a lot to say on
the matter.
'My kids go to school there and they are very happy,
they don't want to move,' he says.
'I told them "let's go to China" and they said "no
Dad, you go and we'll come and see you on our
holidays". I said you have to come with me to
Istanbul as well and they said "Dad you only signed
for a year-and-a-half, let's see how it goes". My kid s
talking like this!' lol....
