Victoria Beckham and Samuel L. Jackson weren't exactly insta-BFFs at Wimbledon.
The designer and the Avengers star were seated next to one another in the Royal Box at the All England Club, and while there were moments that Victoria and hubby David Beckham engaged in conversation with Mr. Jackson, one particularly awkward photo of Posh and the actor is what's making the rounds online.
As you can see, Victoria, 40, and Samuel, 65, both appear to doing the standard nervous fidget--aka. adjusting hair or items of clothing in an attempt to occupy oneself as
opposed to partaking in frivolous small talk. SB Nation's Brian Floyd posted a Vine of the twosome casting cautious side glances (eye contact was avoided--thank goodness), shifting in seats and scratching heads--basically everything but directly interacting with one another.
To be fair, though, these two might not have a lot to talk about. Did Victoria see Snakes on a Plane? Was Sam a big fan of the Spice Girls? Doubtful, but both stars are well
aware of an age-old adage: Silence is golden!
Like Abraham Lincoln once said, "'Tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."
