Kim Kardashian and Kanye West might not be getting married in Paris after all!
The latest speculation about the upcoming Kimye wedding is that the couple will have their wedding in Florence, Italy.
A spokeswoman for the city's mayor got things buzzing on this one, issuing a statement Friday that Kim and Kanye are
planning to say "I do" at Belvedere Fort on May 24. Spokeswoman Elisa Di Lupa claims that North West's parents rented the venue for 300,000 ($410,000).
The stunning fortress, initially built for the ruling Medici family, was closed for five years for renovation, only reopening its
doors to the public in 2013. Belvedere Fort is famed for its stunning panoramic views (it's located next to Florence's Boboli Gardens) as well as the collection of contemporary art it hosts.
This isn't the first place--or even country--that has been pegged as a possible or probable destination for Kim and Kanye's wedding. Earlier this month, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had enough with the gossip, though, tweeting to fans that conrary to the rumor du jour, she and
'Ye were not already married.
And while she was not "gonna start disputing them all," she did remind fans,
"Unless you hear it from us please don't believe nonsense!" What we do know for sure, though, is that Kim and Kanye's wedding won't be as supersized as we once thought.
In fact, according to one insider, "only their closest friends and family are invited," and to keep the guest list to right around 100 people, "The couple had to be very selective
and cut it off at no work friends no matter how close or cherished."
Kim's sisters will be included in the "small and intimate" wedding as bridesmaids, E! News learned, and the bride-to- be has picked out all their dresses as well as her special dress for the big day.
