SAD NEWS! Man jumps to his death from 4 storey building! [GRAPHIC PHOTOS]

Residents OF Adum in Kumasi, Ghana were on Thursday morning greeted with the terrifying news of a man jumping to his death from a tall building.

The young man from Amoaman near Barekese jumped to his death from the third floor of a four-storey building at Adum.

The victim, who was identified as Nana Osei aka Naasei by the wife of his elder brother, Vida Sarpong, was believed to be in his late 20s.

He jumped from the balcony of the building which houses the Subin branch of the National Health Insurance office, a church and several stores at about 9:35am, an eyewitness, Benjamin Mireku told DAILY GUIDE at the scene.

Perhaps Queen Elizabeth II could learn something from her thrifty granddaughter-in-law Kate Middleton. The 87-year-old monarch has been overspending the royal family's famous fortune, according to a report published by the Commons Public Accounts Committee on Monday, Jan. 27.
Following her courtiers' advice, Her Majesty the Queen's reserve fund has fallen from £35 million ($58 million) in 2001 to just £1 million ($1.6 million) in 2014. The report states the royal family is "spending above their means and dipping into the reserves...the balance now stands at an all-time low."
The report also reveals that a number of palaces are in "dangerous or deteriorating" conditions. Forty percent of them, in fact, are "below acceptable standards." It's not exactly new information, as Queen Elizabeth II knows that there's an $82 million backlog in repairs due to tightened government funding.

Lil Za is the one facing the music after the raid on Justin Bieber's house.
Bieber's pal, whose real name is Xavier Smith, has been charged with two counts of felony drug possession and one count of causing damage in excess of $950 to jail property, the latter pertaining to his bust for allegedly ripping a telephone off the wall right before he was about to post bail following his drug arrest.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed to E! News Friday that the drugs involved are Ecstasy and Oxycontin.

Of the handful of Bieber associates at the house when L.A. County Sheriff's Department investigators conducted their search in response to an allegation that Bieber had egged a neighbor's house, Lil Za is the only person who was arrested.
His bail was first set at $20,000, but another $50,000 was tacked on after the phone incident.

Police Crack Mysterious Disappearance of NNPC Staff, Murder Suspects In Court

The Nigeria Police says it has successfully resolved the riddle surrounding the sudden and hitherto unexplained disappearance of Mr. Sylvester Emefiele, an employee of the Transformation Office of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and has arrested two men: 30-year old Timothy Abidemi Lekan, alias Leksit, and 41-year old Akinlade Taiwo.
Also under arrest is a witch-doctor, Saidi Babatunde from Osun State, who was implicated by the suspects for preparing criminal charms for them, the police said in a statement by spokesman Frank Mba
“On receiving this complaint through the Police email platform – policemonitor@npf.gov.ng, the Inspector-General of Police promptly ordered a discreet and comprehensive investigation into the case,” the statement said.
“Subsequently, detectives from the FSARS led by DCP Chris Ezike swung into action, and through systematic and high-level investigative technique, tracked down one Olaniyi Banjo, a 20-year old resident of Ilesa, Osun State, who bought the Blackberry phone of the deceased from one of the principal suspects, Akindele Taiwo. The sustained surveillance and investigative efforts of the police led to the arrest of the masterminds of the crime on 8thJune, 2013.”

Kanye West Won't Be Charged Following Investigation Into Alleged Assault

E! News has learned that the Los Angeles District Attorney has declined to prosecute or pursue charges against the rapper following an alleged assault incident in Beverly Hills earlier this month.
We were told last week that this outcome was a possibilty after the alleged assault victim failed to appear at a followup interview with authorities. Criminal defense attorney Troy Slaten (who is not directly involved with the case) told E! News at the time that authorities usually want victims to come in after the incident so they can explain the extent of the injuries, show results of any medical exams and/or treatments to compile the most complete and accurate report to the District Attorney.

LASU Reels From Neglect, And Anger: Tuition Fee Hikes, Construction Projects Stir The Pot-CITYVOICE Nigeria

Some faculties of the school admit only three students for the next academic year.

 It is hard to understate the problems facing the Lagos State University (LASU), but an example will suffice. During the recent round of student admission process, the school’s authorities found that only three students could be admitted into its School of Communications (by contrast, the federal government-owned University of Lagos’s department of Mass Communications could only absorb a tiny fraction of the over 15,000 qualified applicants for its programmes.)
Most other faculties of the institution did not fare much better as intending students in droves turn their back on the university owned by the Lagos State government. It was therefore little surprise that the institution descended into chaos last week, as students embarked on a violent protest against perceived high-handedness of the university management.

During a visit to the institution during the week, an uneasy eerie of silence pervades the entire expanse of the LASU main campus in Ojo. Despite the presence of heavily armed police officers – two armoured tanks stationed at the gate – ongoing repairs of property damaged during the protest, it was clear that all is still not well with the tertiary institution.

Gunmen Rob, Kidnap, Injure And Kill In Akungba Akoko, Ondo State

 

Four gunmen carried out a robbery and kidnapping today in Akungba Akoko, Akoko local government area of Ondo State.
In a daring attack, the gunman ran their Mercedes Benz to block the passage of a Nissan Jeep driven by two foreign workers, who they then kidnapped and escaped in the Jeep, while shooting indiscriminately in the air.  Police Spokesman, ASP Wole Ogodo, said they recovered the Jeep along the Isua road but the gunmen are still on the loose with the two workers, three mobile phones and Naira 400,000 belonging to abducted victims.
He said those kidnapped will be rescued and the suspects will be arrested.
An Ikare Divisional Police officer, was killed during the attack and five others were injured.
The body of the police officer was taken to Ikare General Hospital, and the wounded are being treated in different hospitals.
One witness said the foreigners were kidnapped at a nearby bush close to the former Ondo state Governor’s house, the late Adabayo Adefarati.
One of the wounded told Saharareporters said he was shot in the leg while his boss, the foreigners, were taken by the gunmen.
The foreigners are employed by Charvet Construction Company, and were carrying out work on the Ikare-Akungba road; a contract awarded to the company after years of neglect by successive governments.
Saharareporters learned the expatriates from Syria,were handling the construction of the Senate Building project belonging to Adekunle Ajasin University (AAU) also in Akungba Akoko.

coming discussion it will have with Microsoft on per-
search revenue — Yahoo could be working to create a
product that will replace nearly one-third of its current
revenue.

In its calendar third quarter of last year, Yahoo earned
31 percent of its total revenue from the search deal
with Microsoft......

New Law!!! UAE Women To Breastfeed Babies For Two Years or Get Sued

Women in the United Arab Emirates have been
mandated to feed their new born babies for at least
two years, a new Child Rights Law which just became
effective this month states. Part of their new Child
Rights Law, requires new moms to breastfeed their
babies for two full years or their husbands could sue them if they fail to do so. The law furthermore states
that, it is a human right for a child to be breast fed,
and that nursing is now mandatory in the country.
